Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

Health & Nutrition

Spiritualism, health and wellness, community and relationships along with self-esteem elevation are all essential building blocks to re-creating one’s sense of purpose.
TWC All My Relations honours indigenous teachings of achieving balance as part of a goal of personal wellness. As part of holistic wellness, we strive to ensure that we help our men with their physical well-being. We have taken careful consideration to ensure that our men’s health and nutrition needs are taken care of.
Nutrition
Clients are provided with three healthy meals per day. We have taken into consideration the cultural considerations of indigenous men and incorporated traditional foods into our menu. We have also sourced our food from indigenous food providers wherever possible. We ensure that a variety of healthy snacks are accessible to our clients. We hold traditional feasts on a regular basis in which teachings and fellowship are shared with a meal.
Athletics and Adventure
We assist clients with obtaining a membership at the Surrey Recreation Centre and they are encouraged to exercise during their afternoon free time. Our clients participate in outings around the Lower Mainland on a regular basis to enjoy the outdoors while getting some hiking and walking exercise. We have a softball team which practices during the summer months and we participate in local softball tournaments.
