Tyler Craig has both a practical and academic understanding of indigenous culture and traditions. He received his Bachelor of Arts majoring in Aboriginal Studies and has conducted research in First Nations community development issues. Originally from Northern Alberta, Tyler is of mixed Cree and Metis background and has been active in indigenous cultural events and ceremonies across western Canada.
Tyler has adult education experience having delivered skills training workshops to Aboriginal job seekers and working one on one with indigenous people to overcome their barriers. He also has community engagement experience and has a strong understanding of the importance of an inclusive process in program development and strategic planning. As indigenous cultural coordinator, Tyler aims to ensure the cultural and spiritual needs of clients with diverse indigenous backgrounds are met during their treatment. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys swimming, camping and spending time in the outdoors.
